This is the mesh at resolution level 1.The base mesh for this project was a UVSphere. I used all the brush-types and brush-modes  to get to this stage.

I created a normal map from the level 4 mesh and applied it as a material to the level 1 mesh. And the results seem pretty good huh! (The above screenshots are a bit old as i have not sculpted the left cheek at the time of capture.)

Wondering how i created the normal map? I used Blender's Render-Baking feature available  in the latest version (2.43).
